Fall Band Classes (and Private Lessons) Online with SmartMusic
Is your student starting band or returning to band and would benefit from a small class of 4-6 students to get individual attention?   Homeschooling and would love to get/keep them involved in music?  Interested in private lessons?   Our classes are less than HALF of competitors and our instructors are very creative, professional and experienced.   Check out their Bios!

Our band classes will use a SmartMusic (free with your enrollment) subscription.

Details

Monday, Tuesday or Thursday Evenings (see details next to each class)
Dates: Week of October 5 - January 25 (14 weeks);  NO classes on week of November 23, December 21, 28
Instructors: Michelle Rupert (Woodwinds); Sarah Bryk (Brass) & Andrew Bannan (Percussion)
Method of Teaching this Semester:  All band classes are weekly 45 min classes using SmartMusic (no books needed) and Zoom.

Classes are usually around 4-6 students! 

Woodwinds (Beginning Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone; Cadet/Concert also includes Oboe and Bassoon)
  • Beginning Flutes (NO experience) - Monday 5:00-5:45 pm
  • Beginning Clarinets/Saxophones (NO experience) - Monday 5:45-6:30 pm
  • Cadet Flutes/Oboes (placement music will be sent) - Monday 6:30-7:15 pm
  • Cadet Clarinets/Saxophones/Bassoons (placement music will be sent) - Monday 7:15-8:00 pm
  • Concert Woodwind Ensemble  (placement music will be sent) - Monday 8:00-8:45 pm

Brass (Beginning Trumpet/Baritone/Euphonium/Tuba;  Cadet/Concert also includes French Horn)
  • Beginning Trombone/Baritone/Euphonium/Tuba (NO experience) - Tuesday 5:00-5:45 pm
  • Beginning Trumpet (NO experience) - Tuesday 5:45-6:30 pm
  • Cadet Brass Ensemble (One year experience and able to play concert Bb or F scale) - Tuesday 6:30-7:15 pm
  • Concert Brass Ensemble (Two years experience and able to play 3 scales) - Tuesday 7:15-8:00 pm
  • Private Lessons Upon Request

Percussion (Drums & Mallet)
  • Beginning Percussion (NO experience) - Tuesday 5:00-5:45 pm
  • Cadet Percussion Ensemble (One year experience and able to play concert Bb or F scale w mallet percussion) - Tuesday 5:45-6:30 pm
  • Concert Percussion Ensemble (Two years experience and able to play 3 scales w mallet percussion) - Tuesday 6:30-7:15 pm
  • Private Lessons Upon Request (Drum Set or "Band" Percussion)

Band Requirements/Supplies Needed: ​
​Cost/Additional Details:
  • All classes are $260 for the Fall Semester. Private lessons are $32 per 30 minute lesson. Cost does not includes any books or music needed for the class (we will provide a link to the needed book at Amazon or if your instructor uses SmartMusic, that will come with the registration). Please wait until we email you that there are enough students to hold the class and then we will accept deposits and/or payments. I will ask for a $30 non-refundable deposit as we get closer to start date.
  • A multi-family member discount is offered with $40 off for the 2nd student and $80 off for the 3rd (or additional) students of the same family.
  • Once the session has started, fees are non-refundable. The price is not prorated for absences as directors will still be teaching those weeks.
