Q: If your cost is so low, does that mean the quality is as well?
A: No, we have amazing and experienced instructors but don't have the overhead of a building. The company is owned by a 25+ year music educator and the instructors are carefully selected to give the students the best musical experience possible.
Q: Do you offer private lessons?
A: We are unique in that we can offer small group classes at one third, or greater, the cost of private lessons. In 2020 we started offering private lessons and really expanded that during the pandemic and since coming back in person, we are working to offer these in addition to in-person classes. We offer virtual private lessons for many instruments as well.
Q: Can I meet the instructor before I sign up?
A: Yes, near the end of the each semester we will attempt to have opportunities to preview the classes or attend a concert.
Q: Will you prorate or makeup the classes if I can't make classes?
A: No, we have had around 30 classes a week (this was prior to the pandemic) and instructors are paid regardless of how many show up. The cost is still effective even if you miss a couple classes. Most teachers have a google doc with the assignments so you can keep up with them even if missed.
Q: Can I pay by the month instead of all at once?
A: We now have online payments where you can use a credit card if you desire. We are working to allow for split payments to provide options for payments, but the payment is due in full by the end of the semester.
Q: What is your weather policy?
A: We follow the school cancellations of each county our classes are in. The first cancellation is not made up but others are added to the end of the semester. With online classes, there is no need to cancel due to weather.
Q: Do you offer discounts?
A: We are looking into this possibility as the program grows again.
Q: What if we don't care for the teacher, can we cancel?
A: No, we do our best to find amazing teachers and you can always go to a preview class or concert ahead of time. Check out their bios here.
